New Homes in El Dorado Hills: Where to Find Them

Updated: Dec 15

El Dorado Hills is a beautiful area in California that is perfect for anyone looking for a house in a safe and quiet place that has many recreational options.

The town is located in the Sierra foothills, just east of Sacramento. The San Francisco Bay Area is within easy driving distance to the west. Lake Tahoe is 90 minutes to the east (in good weather).

El Dorado Hills has much to offer its residents, including excellent schools, parks, and recreation facilities.

Area Homebuilding

The area in and around El Dorado Hills has seen an explosion of new homebuilding in the last few years.

Many new homes in the area are more spacious than those in denser urban areas. They often feature open floor plans, large kitchens, and a sizeable primary bedroom and bathroom.

While real estate is less expensive than those in the Bay Area, for example, it still costs more than in many parts of the country.

Some leading home builders in the area include Lennar, Richmond American, and Elliott Homes.

Let's look at a few of the Lennar communities. Lennar is the #2 builder in the U.S., just behind D.R. Horton in annual revenue.

You do not need a broker or agent to purchase a new home from Lennar. However, buyers can choose to work with an independent broker or agent. Not all communities offer a broker co-op commission.
